Our Ethos
In our school we value every child as an individual. We promote the rights of children at all times in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Article 28 states that every child has the right to an education and this is our focus for all. Article 23 states that children with disabilities should live full and decent lives with dignity and independence. Our aim is to do all we can to promote the development, independence and progress of our children including those with additional needs. Together we can shine.

SEND Admissions
Children and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan follow a different admission and transfer process for a new school. Please continue to complete Durham County Council’s parental preference form, as part of the admission process to a new school. You continue to have a right to request a particular school and this will be considered alongside the information that we have about your child’s special educational needs. The information would have been provided as part of the Education, Health and Care assessment or following the review meeting.
